A coupling is more than an outside diameter and bore
A flange coupling can combine turned diameters, a central bore and faces with a bolt-hole pattern, threaded holes, a keyway, flats or milled slots. Start by separating the rotational profile from every secondary feature. This makes the process discussion more useful than asking for a “coupling machine” based only on the finished diameter.
Use a part family, not one sample, to frame the requirement
If one machine may cover several coupling part numbers, group the drawings by material, blank form, finished length, largest diameter, bore range and secondary features. Include the smallest and largest representative parts. A family dominated by turning can be discussed differently from one that repeatedly adds keyways, bolt circles or milled slots. The intended quantity and inspection method help define the engineering review, but do not by themselves select a model.
Bolt holes change the machining discussion
For a bolt-hole circle, identify the number of holes, pitch-circle diameter, hole type, hole diameter or thread specification, depth and datum. Also show whether holes are through, counterbored or tapped, and whether they share a face with a keyway or other milled feature.
